FAQs

  • Come as you are. The more of your honest Self that you bring the session, the more we can learn about you and understand your goals.

  • Although I am a licensed physical therapist, my 1:1 work weaves together somatic awareness and trauma-informed care in a way that goes beyond traditional physical therapy. Therefore, I am working under my Somatic Certifications— not physical therapy.

Sessions are guided by listening to the body and the nervous system, supporting safety, presence, and inner regulation rather than diagnosis or rehabilitation.

When hands-on support is offered, it is gentle, intuitive, and relational, inspired by craniosacral-style approaches. The intention is to create a sense of ease and connection within the body, allowing healing to unfold from within. This work is supportive and complementary in nature and may be integrated alongside physical therapy or other forms of care, but it is not a replacement for them.

  • Well that really depends on each individual. Some experience a day or a week of energetic shifting that may include clearing of bowels, a desire for rest, increased energy, clarity, changes in symptoms… it varies!

We will discuss tools for making the most of your integration window along the way.

  • We’ll begin with a consultation call to explore whether we’re a good fit. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we’ll talk about what’s bringing you here, what you’re hoping for, and whether this kind of somatic, trauma-informed work feels supportive for this part of your journey. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and listen into your own body’s yes or no before moving forward.

  • My rate is $315 per hour, and I work in 2 hour sessions. This allows the spaciousness needed for the nervous system to slow down. As a Somatic Practitioner, I do not work with health insurance companies, and therefore, do not provide superbills.

  • I have a firm 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your appointment, be sure to email hello@therooteinstitute.com before the 48 hour cancellation window, to avoid the cancellation fee of the full cost of your session.

  • My work is rooted in walking alongside you—side by side—as you move through your process. What you receive from this work is directly shaped by the honesty, vulnerability, and intention you bring into each session.

While single sessions are available, this work is meant to be experienced over time. Most clients engage anywhere from twice a month to weekly, over the course of several months to a few years. True nervous system rewiring is a gradual, layered process—and one that has the potential to create profound, lasting change in your life.
